Fatima Lopez: SS2015 Collection at Lisbon Fashion Week

 

Fátima Lopes' SS2015 collection embodies this fusion, showcasing a rich tapestry of graphic arts-inspired patterns and garment shapes. The collection features a contemporary twist on traditionally masculine styles, with a focus on transparency and layering. Silhouettes include stylish minimalism, such as suit-inspired jumpsuits, and a unique combination of silk and leather. The black-and-white portion of the collection highlights sophistication through a mix of simplicity, irregular folds, and selectively used fabrics.

 

 

The collection reflects Fátima Lopes’ signature intimate and soothing style, offering functional fashion that seamlessly transitions from the runway to the streets. This season also marks the debut of her first footwear collection, which continues the graphic and feminine themes of her spring-summer 2015 line.

 

 

Born on the island of Madeira, Fátima Lopes opened her first store in Lisbon in 1992 and held her inaugural fashion show at Convento do Beato that same year. She has since showcased her designs in prominent fashion capitals such as São Paulo, Paris, Istanbul, and Lisbon, becoming one of Portugal's most internationally recognized designers. Notably, in September 2011, she presented a groundbreaking fashion show at the Eiffel Tower, further solidifying her global presence.
