Isabel Marant Hosts a Safari-Themed Event at Palais Royal

Isabel Marant concluded Paris Fashion Week on Sunday with a Spring/Summer 2025 collection that transports us to the jungle.

Outside the Palais Royal, crowds gathered eagerly at the entrance, hoping for a glimpse of their favorite stars. Isabel Marant’s show is a highlight of the fashion calendar, drawing attention even in challenging weather conditions. Recently, Paris has experienced a significant drop in temperatures, accompanied by sporadic rain, yet the show continued undeterred. In fact, Marant elevated the atmosphere with a vibrant, bohemian summer aesthetic set against the stunning gardens of the Palais Royal.

Guests such as Diane Kruger, Normani, Seong Hwa, and Ashley Graham settled around a central fountain, which served as the focal point of the event. Departing from the traditional tent format of her past shows, Marant created an enchanting ambiance around the fountains adorned with silver balls, illuminated by monoliths that mimicked the colors of a sunset sky. The stage harmonized beautifully with the warm color palette of the collection.

As hypnotic percussion beats filled the air, models emerged like ethereal figures from the depths of the rainforest. Each stride revealed short, airy garments that appeared to dance with their own life, enhanced by the playful bangs that adorned almost every piece. The collection showcased a clear duality: safari influences were evident in suede jackets and trousers featuring earthy tones of camel, chocolate, and burgundy, while the bohemian spirit shone through in long dresses, fringed blouses, and leather microshorts embellished with metallic studs.

Suede took center stage as the season's signature material, used not only for jackets and trousers but also for delicate openwork dresses that mimicked lace. Fine leather laces intertwined through collars and sides, lending a sensual touch complemented by intricate embroidery and artisanal fabrics.

The models showcased gladiator sandals with laces winding up to the knee and Indian-inspired slippers, all adorned with gleaming studs. This footwear choice, a departure from the towering heels of previous seasons, reinforces Marant’s summer ethos: comfort paired with style. Isabel Marant envisions an all-terrain woman—one who walks with strength and confidence.

In this collection, Marant embarks on a new adventure that intertwines two exotic realms: safari and bohemian.
