After nearly two years of absence, the Parisian fashion house Lanvin will make its return to Paris Fashion Week during the January 2025 menswear season.
The debut show by Peter Copping, who was appointed as artistic director in June, will feature both women’s and men’s ready-to-wear collections for autumn-winter 2025. The event will be an intimate runway presentation, as confirmed by the brand on Tuesday.
By moving to the less crowded menswear calendar, Lanvin aims to position its return as one of the key highlights of the week. In contrast, Roman rival Valentino has pulled out of menswear week to focus on fewer, mixed-gender collections under creative director Alessandro Michele. Additionally, the anticipated debut show for Chanel's next designer—yet to be announced—could overshadow the upcoming women’s season.
Before joining Lanvin, Copping held prominent positions, including head of couture at Balenciaga, and creative director at Oscar de la Renta and Nina Ricci. Lanvin’s brand promises that Copping’s first collection will embody what founder Jeanne Lanvin referred to as le chic ultime (ultimate chic).
